No sailing experience is required, ensuring that everyone can join in on the fun. Just remember to pack your sea legs and be mindful of potential seasickness as we navigate the sparkling waters of the Aegean Sea.

Why a sailing week in Greece?

Delve into the captivating world of sailing as you embark on a week-long journey through the Saronic Gulf. This idyllic region boasts a rich tapestry of history, from ancient ruins to charming fishing villages. Navigate serene waters, discover secluded beaches, and immerse yourself in the local culture.

A typical day on board in Greece

The yacht is not only your transportation but also your place to sleep and live for a week. Each boat has 3 or 4 cabins where you sleep in pairs and is also equipped with one or more bathrooms.

  • Sailing experience is not required. You will have your own captain on board.

  • If you can sail and have the ICC certificate you can skipper your own boat.

  • You can participate individually or in groups.

    • If you register alone or with a number (less than 6) we will put you together with other crew on a suitable sailboat.

Example of a day on board

- 09 a.m.: Get up, take a swim and breakfast on deck

- 10 a.m.: Let’s set sail

- 1 p.m.: Have lunch and swim in a bay

- 2 p.m.: Help your skipper with sailing, or sunbathe on deck

- 3 p.m.: Drink some wine and turn the music up loud

- 5 p.m.: Moor at the next port or anchor in a deserted bay

- 7 p.m.: Eat at an authentic Greek restaurant or bring out your best cooking skills

- 10 p.m.: Little party?

Example itinerary

Alimos

Alimos is a popular port town near Athens, which makes it easily reachable. It offers stunning views of the Saronic Gulf and has some beautiful beaches. In town you will find plenty of traditional Greek restaurants and bars.

Hydra

The port of Hydra is considered the most beautiful port in the Saronic Gulf. This island is unique because cars are prohibited. The island is known for its famous nightlife, restaurants and traditional architecture. Hydra is historically a rich island and this continues in modern times. It is known as a weekend getaway for Athenians and as an artist's haven of sorts with many local art galleries hosting exhibitions by well-known and emerging artists.

Methana

Methana is a peninsula of volcanic origin located directly off the coast of Argolis. It was created in the past by volcanic eruptions, which is still reflected today in the presence of several hot springs on Methana. The area is characterized by a beautiful mountain landscape with breathtaking views over the sea.

Aegina

Aegina is an island known for its picturesque beaches, including the famous Agia Marina Beach. The island also has a rich historical heritage, including the Temple of Aphaia which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Aegina is also a popular destination for the production of pistachios, whose local delicacies can be found all over the island.

Poros

Poros is a small and charming island known for its beautiful beaches, including the popular Love Bay. The island has a beautiful promenade, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Saronic Gulf and nearby mountains. Poros is also known for its rich history and cultural heritage, with a number of interesting museums and historical sites. There is also a great ice cream shop here with 46 flavors of ice cream!

Spetses

Spetses is a small island with a rich history and striking Mediterranean architecture. The island is famous for its horse-drawn carriages, which are a traditional way to explore the area. This island has a nightlife considered superior to any other island, with stylish boutique businesses and modern cafes.

€999 per person (early wave)

Practical info

  • When registering, you must pay the registration fee + 75 euros for the water sports insurance (valid for one year).

  • Part of the 75 euros for the water sports insurance can be refunded by the mutual insurance company.

  • We will unload the mooring lines in the morning on Sunday, September 1st. So it doesn't matter what time you arrive on Saturday, September 31st. The check-in of the boats on the 1st of September is between 17:00 and 20:00. As soon as the boat is checked in, the luggage can be put on board.

  • The check-out is on Friday, September 6th in the late afternoon. We will have dinner together and sleep on the boat. On Saturday, September 7th, the sailing week is officially over.

  • The costs on the spot such as harbor fees, ... will be put in Tricount and paid afterwards.
